MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global advancements into Latin pop culture. In the year 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album peaked at the rank of eight spots on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year he joined Ozuna on the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's streaming top-selling single Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are each musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. He started playing the saxophone, guitar, piano, and ukulele as a young child. His initial choice of career was to become a vet But his older brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with the help of a Cuban teacher.
